Trixon Injection Powder
Composition:
Each vial consists: •Ceftriaxone 1g
Indication:
Infection of genitor-urinary tract; lower respiratory tract and pneumonia; skins and soft tissues; bones and joints; intra abdominal; gonococcus; pelvic on female patients; otitis media; meningitis; non-complicated gonorrhea; prophylaxis for infection peri-surgery.
Contraindication:
Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins; patients with history of anaphylaxis; renal failure; patients treated with aminoglycosides or diuretics.
Dosage:
Intravenously: Adult and children >12 year-old: 1-2 g once a day, the doses may be increase to 4 g daily. Infants and children < 12 year-old; 50-70 mg/kg BW /day, maximum 2 g/day in 2 doses. Gonorrhea; 200 mg IM in a single dose.
Side Effect:
Anaphylaxis; thrombophlebitis, erithema multiformia; super-infection (overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms); hypoprothrombinemia; hemolytic anemia; thrombocytopenia, eosinophilia, leucopenia, agranulocytosis; hallucinations, vertigo, disorientation; renal impairment; give positive result on Coomb test; elevated level of hepatic enzymes, serum phosphate alkaline, transaminase; “billiary sludge” or pseudolithiasis.

Attention:
Pregnancy and lactation; long-term use; prolonged half-life in infants; gastrointestinal disorders; renal failure; safe for elderly with dose adjustment as for patients with renal failure; should not use solvent containing benzyl alcohol; hyperbillirubinemics; the use with aminoglycosides; pseudo-membranous colitis.
